Cover to Cover's expert indexers work from page proofs or electronic files to provide comprehensive, accurate, and fully cross-referenced indexes. We are experienced at marking text to produce a computer-generated index or table of contents, and we use both word-processing and indexing software. However, computer-generated indexes can often be bad indexes, so our staff use these as only a starting place, enhancing them by applying more traditional methods.
